Is VIPChat free?

Yes. VIPChat is free to download and use. Messages and calls go over Wi-Fi or mobile data, so they don't use your phone plan's minutes or texts.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, and people on iPhone and Android can message and call each other. On Android you need version 8.0 or newer.

I already use VIPChat. Do I lose my chats when I update?

No. Update the app and you stay logged in, with your chats right where you left them.

Can I call 911 with VIPChat?

No. VIPChat can't be used to call emergency services. Use your phone's regular dialer for emergencies.

Who can see when I'm online?

You decide. Turn off "Last seen and online" or "Read receipts" in Settings > Privacy whenever you like.

How do I delete my account?

In the app go to Settings > Delete my account, or use vipchatapp.net/delete-account. Your profile, chats and messages are permanently deleted.
